Re: Fall 2008 Registration – Due week of July 7th
WYSL will be fielding Girls U9-U19 and Boys U9-U14 in the Fall 2008 season (information on the Boys & Girls 3-game November HS Mini-Season will be forthcoming.)
BOYS & GIRLS:
U15’s and older: 11 V 11 with 22 max, 11 min
- (18 max for state cup except U16-U19’s, 22 max) *revised 7-16-08
U12’s to U14’s: 11 V 11 with 18 max, 11 min
- (teams in division 3 or lower, not playing state cup, can have 22)
U11’s: 9 V 9 with 16 max, 9 min
- (teams in division 3 or lower, not playing state cup, can have 18)
U9’s & U10’s: 8 V 8 with 14 max, 8 min

(Final groupings will be dependent upon number of teams entered and determined by the League Seeding Committee. Girls’ teams 15 and older will be grouped according to skill level and age.)

Registration meeting deadline: The week of July 7, 2008
Call at least two (2) weeks prior to schedule an appointment in the WYSL office for the week of July 7th.
The following must be presented by Club Registrars for all clubs:
- Registration Fees: Team fees and any outstanding forfeit fees or fines owed by your club must be paid at this time.
- Club Officers’ Form : All Presidents and Registrars must supply work/cell numbers and e-mail addresses on the form.
- Field and Team Information Form: One full-day field is required for every six teams. Be sure to check off age of teams, furnish team names, and indicate if new to League.
- Co-insured Form: Supply all formal names and addresses of all fields and practice facilities to be used, and the formal name of your club below. The Certificates of Insurance are good for one year. Copies should be made, one for president and one for facility owner.
§ Passes: Passes must be turned in for all teams to be stickered for the new 2008-2009soccer year (passes alphabetized by last name A-Z). This includes coaches’ passes, any temporary or tournament passes, and active and non-active player passes (separate and indicate inactive passes.) Please remove from ring all deleted and bring pile.
- Medical Releases: The medical release form (available on website) which is to be completed (note: some tournaments require to be notarized) and held by coaches to be taken to each game, practice and tournament in case of injury. The League office does not require a copy.
- New player(s): to the League must submit a birth certificate (keep separate from photos.) If a new team, arrange alphabetically by last name. Attach passport-sized photos (one per player) by paper clip to a blank piece of paper with last name written underneath, clockwise A-Z by last name. Signature labels are no longer required!
Old players: players moving to different teams are free agents. Please keep their old team pass in separate pile, which will be destroyed. Only one pass should exist for a player at any one time. Only retired player passes should be in the dead drawers. Attach picture to blank piece of paper, clockwise by last name. Write last name under picture.
· Risk Management: All coaches and managers, must register on line with Risk Management by going to (www.wyslsoccer.org), click on “Risk Management” and follow instructions. Risk management registration is good for two calendar years.
- New Coaches: New coaches (only) should submit a picture (with name, team and club name written on back of photo), copy of any proof of licensing, if any, attached by paper clip to a piece of paper with their team name written on it. Only in the Fall Season is a New Coach allowed a temporary coaching pass; however, that coach is required to be licensed by the following spring season by taking the WYSL 8-hr certification (or equivalent) course and new coach orientation course, and return that temporary pass to his/her registrar.
- Photos: Teams with players aged U12, U15, and U18 must submit new pictures (Club registrar’s discretion- if player(s) looks too young for the team age, then ask coach for new picture(s).)
- Team Contacts for Fall 08 Book: Use the spreadsheet you submitted for the Spring 08 season, rename it Fall 08, make revisions, add teams, delete teams etc. and e-mail to the office (ldargenio@wyslsoccer.org) by registration deadline. Also include all teams playing out of league. Follow the spreadsheet format. Please list two contacts per team and list the primary contact first, whether they are a Team Manager or Coach. Please verify with your sources beforehand to ensure that the contact information you are sending is correct and accurate. All Caps!
- Club Website Updates: Please make sure that your club exisiting website links on WYSL are current. The Club is responsible for making any revisions that occur during the season to e-mail addresses, contacts, etc.
Directions to access Club information (club officers, team pages, individual field directions) on the WYSL website:
- Club President or president’s designee – (person with club administration rights) is responsible for updating club officers’ information and keeping individual field directions accurate for their club.
Go to www.wyslsoccer.org . Go to “Club” on left- hand side of screen. In center of page find your club and go into club page. Right-hand top corner, “log in”. If it is the first time accessing this page, put email address in and leave password blank and press “first time user or forgot password” at bottom. A password will be emailed to you immediately- print it out and save it. This will be your password to access the Club Information Page where you can update all club information.
**Please note: There are two places for updating field information on the website…
1. Individual Club Field Directions: These directions are designed for the general user to be able to find fields alphabetically when they go to www.wyslsoccer.org.
- Club President/designee keep these directions up to date by logging into your individual club pages. See directions above “To access Club information” above. To better navigate individual field directions, entering address of field will make it easier for people who would like to use (MapQuest).
2. Summary of Club Directions : This lists the summary of all fields for your club. The summary of field directions found on www.wyslsoccer.org website, left hand side under “clubs”, then left hand side of screen “fields”.
Every Club President/designee should review the field directions on the WYSL website and revise them if you have added a new field and e-mail clear directions to aolcese@wyslsoccer.org.
