About WYSL

The Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL) was established in 1977 as a non-profit, educational organization. Affiliated with US Club Soccer and the US Soccer Federation.

 The mission of the League is to foster the physical, mental, and emotional character development of youth by providing a safe, organized, fair and competitive game playing opportunities for our players.

The WYSL sponsors Fall and Spring seasonal travel soccer for its member clubs, including a High School mini-season in November. Many of our overe 45 member clubs offer recreational soccer in their communities and host local and regional soccer tournaments. The WYSL offers Coach and Referee Certification Courses, supports the principles of positive coaching, and is a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance. 

Each season, the League awards the team in each division with the highest sportsmanship score with the Sportsmanship Award. The League also offers the pretigious Double-Goal Coach Award to the coaches of teams that win both the Sportsmanship Award and their Divisional Championship.

The League registers more than 25,000 players under the age of 19.  The League has over 50 member and guest clubs from Manhattan to the south to Interstate 84 to to the North, and Rockland to the west to Norwalk, CT tp the East, fields more than 900 girls and boys’ travel soccer teams for its fall and spring seasons. These teams are registered in the Westchester Youth Soccer League and play in the WYSL and various Premier Leagues such as the Westchester Cup, Westchester Premier, Summer League, Camps, and WInter Futsal.  WYSL now offers a US Club id2 program for elite players.

Westchester Premier League Vision

To be the preeminent Premier League in Westchester County and surrounding areas.

Westchester Premier

Westchester Premier, under the sanctioning of US Club Soccer, is structured for Boys U10-U19 and Girls U12-U17. It provides participating teams with the appropriate premier level of competition, while maintaining a challenging environment for individual and team development, within the maximum traveling distance of 30 miles from White Plains High School.

Westchester Premier Council

Key Premier and Member Clubs entering premier teams will be invited to join the Westchester Premier Council with the primary purpose of aiding the decision-making process in developing premier soccer within Westchester, Manhattan, Rockland, Putnam and Connecticut. Once established, the Premier Council will meet 5-6 times per year.
